I already wash the bedding once a month, and bathe my babies regularly. Its not a matter of diet or health.......
That being said, can I use baking soda in the wash with the dog beds to give them a deodorizing boost?

If so, for only two beds, how much do I use? Can I use my detergent too? How about fabric softener? Do I need to do an extra rinse to get it all out? Any draw backs to using it on dog bedding?

if your dog beds are machine washable by all means wash them and i do reccomend useing baking soda with any wash because it sanitizes and deoderizes clothes and i also reccomend tide because it really gives clothes and stuff a really fresh smell

2. Climate and local weather- How and where will your dog bed be used? Do you want it to provide warmth in the winter or air circulation in the summer? Will it be located outside in a dog house, on a front porch, in an indoor crate or kennel or in an open area in your house? If using it outside, what are the seasonal temperature ranges where you live? You will need to select a dog bed that will withstand all elements of nature.

Do you find your dog sleeping in a sunny spot in the morning and by the bed in the evening? My dog always urinates on his dog beds. He will not pee on the floor if we take the bed away. He is almost 3 yrs old and never pees anywhere except for his bed. Any ideas on how to break this habit?
At night we put him in another room and he will pee on real dog beds or blankets we put on the ground.

I have a bed that is a long rectangle and has no pine as my dog is allergic and she likes her bed on one side is plaid and the other is soft fur. She sleeps on it all the time. I got it from Walmart for $ 25 and all my dogs love it. It has no down feathers or cedar chips so their is no allergins there.
